My Person

Born in 1963 close to this beautiful countryside, I lived just a normal life without too much trouble in a country known for its mountains, sweet chocolate, watches, a high living standard and snow. Switzerland.

It's the snow and ice, or let's say the temperatures that come with it, that I didn't really find much appealing since my childhood and so I decided in 1996 to move to a country a tiny bit closer to the sun. Thailand.

Call me old fashioned, but I think that if one wants to live in a foreign country the first thing to do is to learn the language. So I spent my first three months in the Land of Smiles going to a language school. I admit, Thai is challenging, even for somebody who relatively easily learns other languages and I remember myself almost jumping up and down of joy in my room when for the first time I was able to decipher what was written on that PET beverage bottle on my desk. Pepsi. I felt like a blind who became able to see.

The daughter of my grandfather once told me I reminded her of her father. He used to say: It doesn't matter what you do, but if you do it, then do it right. I believe that describes my working style quite well. I like quality and things being done well. And if you look at my work experience you'll see that I indeed don't mind too much about what I do - as long as it is legal, of course. I'm of the opinion that we can learn from every experience, no matter whether the location was a horse stable or the CEO's office.
